Jeff Yurcisin

Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Yurcisin is a proven direct to consumer CEO who has built and led multiple billion-dollar brands and has a passion for doing what’s right. He believes deeply in Grove’s mission to move the consumer products industry Beyond Plastic and is passionate about the role the private sector can play in sustainability.  Before Grove, Jeff had succeeded two founders as CEOs at Shopbop and Zulily and served in multiple senior executive roles at Amazon, where he led Amazon’s global efforts on Private Brands and Apparel. His team spearheaded Amazon’s push into its own brands and was responsible for the end-to-end product development and performance of those brands. 

Earlier in his career, Jeff served as CEO during Shopbop’s accelerated growth from startup to leading fashion boutique worldwide. Their revenue growth was driven by using tech to deliver a superior customer experience. Jeff recently led the team at Zulily for four years through the pandemic and launched a customer promise that guaranteed Zulily customers would receive greater value than from Amazon or Walmart. He most recently worked as an Executive in Residence at Madrona Venture Group where he helped entrepreneurs turn their ideas into fast growing businesses. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Fred Hutch, one of the world’s leading cancer research organizations. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University and graduated with honors from Harvard Business School.

Sergio Cervantes

Chief Financial Officer

Sergio Cervantes is the Chief Financial Officer at Grove Collaborative, since April 2022, where he has led the business towards being profitable for the first time since it was founded, while overseeing Finance, IT, HR, functions and business operations. Prior to joining Grove, Mr. Cervantes served as Chief Financial Officer at Murad (2016-2022), a newly acquired Unilever Prestige company, where he was responsible for turning the business around, leading initiatives to deliver sustainable and profitable growth, and bringing the company up to Unilever standards. He also served as interim CEO during a leadership transition in 2021. From 2003-2016, Mr. Cervantes held various finance leadership positions across Unilever, where he partnered with major commercial, operational, financial and strategic areas in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Global and European Laundry Category, creating value for shareholders. As a Corporate Finance and Treasurer for the Americas Region, Mr. Cervantes partnered with the Controllers, local Treasurers, and CFOs, to improve capital structures, maximize regional cash management and optimize effective tax rates. Mr Cervantes served as Director at Gillette Northern Region, composed of Mexico and Central America (1999-2003), leading the overall financial planning and integration efforts across four business units and seven countries. He started his career as an entrepreneur (1994-1998), founding and leading a family material handling equipment company, where he partnered with his father to create a joint venture with a US-based company to provide leasing equipment and maintenance to Chrysler in Mexico. Mr. Cervantes holds a Masters in Finance and a degree in Business Administration from the Tec de Monterrey as well as diplomas for both the Executive Leaders and Managerial Skills programs.

Christopher Clark

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Clark co-founded Grove in 2012 and has served as the company’s Chief Technology Officer since 2013 as well as Chief Digital Officer from 2022-2023. He leads the product management, engineering, analytics, data science, and digital product design functions in service of the company’s director-to-consumer business operations. Mr. Clark established the company’s e-commerce platform and has continuously evolved the customer experience to align Grove’s growth and scale with best practices. Beyond his executive roles, Mr. Clark is a respected member of Grove's Board of Directors, and is committed to strong and equitable corporate governance. His expertise in ecommerce technology makes him a regular speaker at various industry conferences and events. Prior to joining Grove, Mr. Clark led project management and engineering at Kaggle, Inc. (2012) prior to its acquisition by Google and was also a product manager and engineer at Blackbaud (2007-2012). He is also the creator of the popular open source analytics tool, Django SQL Explorer. Mr. Clark earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University. He resides in Charleston, SC, where he is an active member of the local tech community.

Scott Giesler

General Counsel

Mr. Scott Giesler serves as General Counsel of Grove Collaborative, where he is responsible for the company’s legal function.  Grove is on a mission to transform the consumer products industry into a force for human and environmental good. Before joining Grove in January 2024, Mr. Giesler served as General Counsel of JustAnswer, a direct-to-consumer internet company, leading the company’s legal function. Mr. Giesler also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of eHealth, Inc. from 2005-2022, managing eHealth's legal and compliance functions. He also served as a Corporate Securities Attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (1999-2005) with a focus on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate reorganizations, initial public offerings, public and private company financing transactions and public company governance and reporting and as a litigation attorney with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton (1996-1999), focusing  on complex white collar criminal and civil litigation matters. Mr. Giesler also served as law clerk to The Honorable Robert J. Kelleher, United States District Court, Central District of California (1995-1996). Mr. Giesler holds a B.A. in environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D. degree from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School.

Jennie Perry

Chief Marketing Officer

Jennie Perry is the Chief Marketing Officer at Grove Collaborative, where she has overseen the company’s nimble and diversified marketing, creative, brand, and PR functions since 2021. Her purview also includes the organization’s sustainability team, working with internal and external experts to set and measure the company’s goals in line with its mission to transform the consumer products industry into a force for human and environmental good. Ms. Perry’s experienced management of the integrated Grove team is built on her demonstrated leadership in high growth e-commerce and physical retail environments. Prior to joining Grove, Ms. Perry was Chief Marketing Officer of Amazon Prime and Amazon North American (2018-2019) as well as Amazon Fashion (2011-2018), where she oversaw creative, media, and performance marketing in addition to programs like Prime Day and Amazon Fashion’s Try Before You Buy. She also served as Chief Marketing Officer of footwear company Stride Rite (2009-2011), where she led end-to-end marketing for wholesale and all vertical retail including owned, franchised, and outlet stores. Prior to this, Ms. Perry was Vice President of Marketing at Gap Inc. (1998-2007), overseeing the Old Navy integrated marketing strategy and launch of OldNavy.com, and Senior Brand Manager at Kraft Foods (1993-1998), where she led the new products innovation team for the largest division within the company. She received a M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
